Hi. I am in Washington DC. Fun... We walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk and walk.
It is exhausting. We saw some cool monuments, but I am not having extreme fun here. There are eight more days until I get home. I want to go home. NOW. I am very annoyed and slightly homesick. Also my feet feel like they are going to fall off. I bet that they will be massively sore all summer. I am not very happy. The coolest thing was probably the FDR monument. It had a ton of waterfalls. Tomorrow we are going to the Washington monument. We rented a condo so that we have our own laundry room and kitchen and stuff. And there is a cable T.V. I miss my cats. Mom is getting home before us because she has to work. this has been a really long comment so I should go.
Bye,
Meaghan
its good to hear you're having fun :) well at least you saw some cool stuff. the next place you go you should see if they have a wheelchair you can use. i hope the rest of your trip goes better than it has so far.
see you in 8 days,
Jenn
haha me too
I love how 2 of the 3 comments weren't even about the post. Although, I guess this comment isn't really about the post either, more about the other comments. SO, to prove my point, I should probably make this comment about the post. They all sound cute.
cute! i love lace. and orange. and dark blue. all of those sound really cute! i want to see them! but that sounds really stalkerish. I AM NOT A STALKER!
haha i love my friends. you know what i will now post a comment in reply to each of the comments. look for yours
MEG- well washington dc is not an extreme fun kind of place... but at least you see cool stuff. take lots of pics!!! or cool trick pics like stand next to washington monument from far away so it looks like you are as tall as it... etc. also, meg and her feet. seems like you are having feet problems all the time.... every night take a nice HOT relaxing bath and when you get home schedule a foot massage or chinese acupuncture (haha jk) or just massage your own feet. then you should be good. but even so i dont think they willl be sore all summer. also, long comments are good!!! the cable tv sounds like a very meaghan friendly thing though... anyway, see you soon!!! call me the very first day you can hang out after you get home... cuz remember i'm leaving on the second! but on the first i have a softball game. then after that i ahve to go to bed at like seven becuase we're leaving for the airport at three in the morning or so... so call me asap!!!

(that l was not a typo...) well byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee now
This is me again. The Washington Monument was really cool. It is 555 feet tall and some inches. The top of it is actually made out of aluminum, which was a really expensive metal back in the 1800's when it was made. Tomorrow we are visiting a bunch of war memorials. They are supposed to be really solemn. No laughing or running type thing. I will be home on the 28th. Maybe the 27th, if we go quickly. I am very nervous because of my Tae Kwon Do testing results should be posted any day now. I really want the next belt. I could not stand being a blue belt AGAIN. The last two days were horrible weather. It was pouring in the morning and boiling in the afternoon. They could market those afternoons as a sauna. We went to the spy museum, which was pretty awesome. I was supposedly a "good" spy. That means that I had a good memory. Also today we went to mount Vernon. It was nice out. We ride the light rail a lot of places. It is cool, and we have weekly tickets. Bye for now.
Meaghan
sounds cool. that solemn thing would not be very lydia and ali friendly... i could see you as a spy... also, did you check out the secret passage at mount vernon like in national treasure 2? haha. light rails are awesasome.... (like amazazing only awesasome
it sounds like you're having more fun then you were so thats good. when i go to the war memorials in dc for school i'll probably get kicked out for laughing cause when i'm not allowed to laugh it makes me have to laugh. tee hee.

OMG. Last day in DC... Now begins the epic journey home. 4-5 days. GRRRR. The war memorials were pretty, but sad. The WWII memorial had a bunch of fountains. If you wade in one, homeland security will supposedly arrest you for questioning?!? Now we are watching a news broadcast about 2 metro trains (which I have been on, it is how we got around DC) collided. One ended up on top of the other. We were waiting for a train about 5 minutes after it happened. It was on a different line then us, but it backed up all of the trains. We were waiting a long time. A bunch of people died/got hurt. That is really scary. It could have been us, which creeps me out. On a happier note, We went to another Smithsonian and saw the ruby slippers, and Oscar the Grouch. It was pretty cool. There was also an exhibit with the first lady's dresses. There were quite a few of them. I really want to go home and see my friends and my cats and my Wii and my computer with my games, plus all of my books. SIGH...
Meaghan
