Make It Last

Only six days left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh no!!! Make it last!!! Do all of the things that you said that you were going to do this summer but never really ended up doing. Fly a kite! Go to the beach and swim to the buoy! Go skydiving! (Okay, I was just kidding about that one) Go to that fair that we go to and go on that giant tall ride that drops you down!!! (you all know what I'm talking about) We are running out of time!!! Use it well!!!
And now, for an exerpt:

Aayla shuddered at the thought of fighting Elissa with no one beside her. Sure, Aayla was a good fighter, but Elissa was far more powerful than her, and she could never defeat her on her own.
Soon Aayla reached the spot where Brokk had told her to go. She knelt in the dry grass and examined the ground. It was no different than anywhere else in the field. Still, Aayla trusted Brokk; why would he lie? Closing her eyes, she uttered the words that he had whispered to her.
The earth below Aayla's feet began to vibrate and rumble. Aayla stood. Maybe she had said the wrong words. Was this supposed to happen? Suddenly, a single spot of the ground began to shine. With a burst of blinding blue light, everything stopped. And lying on the dying weeds, right in the spot where Aayla was supposed to look, was a dirty, rusty, shovel.
Bewildered, Aayla picked up the shovel. It was heavier than it looked, and the wood handle wasn't sanded, so Aayla presumed that she would get splinters while doing whatever it was that she was supposed to do. She dug the tip of the shovel into the ground and pushed down with her foot. The dirt was hard and dry, so lifting up the clump of earth was hard. She continued to dig, pearls of sweat forming on her forehead. As she dug deeper, the pearls melted down her face.
When Aayla had dug down about three feet, she started to see a glow in the now moist dirt below her. With a new fierceness, she shoveled out the remaining mud until she revealed a tiny glittering orb. She lifted the orb out of the hole.
